Urgent care facilities offer patients the ability to address medical concerns and accidental injuries that can span a variety of conditions. For many area hospitals, the ER has become increasingly crowded for this type of care, and general practitioners are not always on call outside of regular office hours. In this way the Briggs Chaney Walk-In Clinic can provide services for minor needs and even some major traumas.

Our clinical staff is well experienced to handle nearly any medical condition, and we are certified as an urgent care facility, which offer the assurance of quality care and patient centric best practices. This means that all of our patients are attended to without long wait times, and we are able to accept most insurance providers without the concern of the higher co-pays that are frequently found in hospitals.

Since our facility is open seven days a week, we can also attend to issues at any time, which lets our patients seek the necessary care they need without concerns with personal schedules. Whether a medical emergency comes about suddenly, or whether there are concerns about a lingering infection, our facility is equipped to address the problem.

When it comes to infectious diseases, it is best to catch them at the earliest possible chance, since this can often lessen the healing time, and prevent a cold or flu from turning into a more debilitating illness. Many symptoms that patients can be experiencing may be indicative of the need for proper treatment, and seeking urgent care through Briggs Chaney Walk-In Clinic allows patients to gain a proper diagnosis as well as proper treatment.

Some of the presenting symptoms that may be of concern can include:

  • Vomiting and nausea
  • Sore throat or the possibility of Strep or Mono
  • Cold and flu symptoms, including coughs and high fevers
  • Ear infections
  • Allergic reactions, either external or internal
  • Rashes
  • Abdominal distress
  • Bladder and vaginal infections

Our urgent care services also include acute or accidental situations which require immediate attention. These may be

  • Cuts, wounds, and lacerations
  • Burns
  • Abscesses
  • Injuries needing stitches, or stitch removal after healing
  • Sprains, strains, muscle tears, and bone fractures
  • Removal of foreign bodies

At Briggs Chaney Walk-In Clinic, it is important for our patients to know that many of the conditions that would take them to the ER can be treated in our urgent care facility. This also includes taking X-rays, running labs and administering IV therapies.

Urgent care services are not just about acute concerns.

Our staff is also able to attend to more routine procedures and testing that can be a part of a regular wellness routine. We provide physicals for sports, school, employment, and personal check-ups, and also run health and wellness screenings for patients who may be concerned about any changes in their constitution. In addition to general screenings, we can also run tests for cholesterol levels, the possibility of diabetes, and EKGs for heart health.

Along with these services, we also have clinical staff that are trained for gynecological concerns. This can include regular exams and pap smears, as well as pregnancy testing and provisions for contraception. Confidential testing for HIV and other STD are also run through our labs, as we have the equipment and capabilities to run blood panels on site. This can offer patients a convenient care facility to attend to all of your needs.
